Izabela Chmiel
I’m glad you’re here! You’re probably wondering whether I can help you achieve your goals and overcome your communication challenges. I’ll do my best to answer that.
On a daily basis, I work as a teacher of English and Japanese. I’ve created several programmes, courses, and learning materials that support people in reaching their goals across four continents. I also often take on the role of a trainer in intercultural skills.
What am I valued for?
In my collaborations, I focus on two things: relationships and effectiveness. I’m a practitioner who works in four languages today. The people I support in their development appreciate my energy, sense of humour, and training expertise.
I’m trusted by
- HR professionals, trainers, IT specialists, project managers, team leaders, managers, entrepreneurs, and experts from many other fields.
- Expats and HR specialists working in relocation and global mobility.
- Polish, Japanese, and Spanish people living abroad.
- Those needing support with writing a CV in English and preparing for job interviews.
- People preparing for travel to Japan and those taking the JLPT.
My experience
- I teach English to students from Poland, Germany, Sweden, Spain, Singapore, Japan, Argentina, the Czech Republic, and Hong Kong.
- I teach Japanese to clients from Poland, the United States, Germany, and Spain.
- I have worked with business partners from the United Kingdom, South Africa, Australia, and New Zealand.
- I serve as a trainer in English, Japanese, and communication for both global corporations and smaller local companies.
- I have over 10 years and more than 6,000 hours of experience in teaching foreign languages.
- I also collaborate with foundations and companies, providing training in effective communication in English.
Client success stories
- In 2022 and 2024, I successfully prepared students for the JLPT N5 and N3 exams.
- I have improved communication in companies through dedicated sessions on delivering presentations in English and writing business emails.
- I regularly assist with creating English CVs and preparing for job interviews, which often result in my clients being hired or receiving promotions.
- My individual corporate clients have achieved TOEIC scores of 100% and 92% after nearly six months of B2/C1-level courses.
My achievements
- I truly enjoy what I do every day.
- I was awarded a six-week scholarship at the Kansai Center in Japan, where I led a team on various projects exploring culture and society.
- I hold a Japanese Language Proficiency Test certificate at the N2 level (2017).
- I graduated from Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań, specialising in ethnolinguistics with English and Japanese.
- I have participated in SWPS University’s Trainer School modules, including “Training Methods for Business”, “Designing Workshops and Training Exercises for Business”, and “How to Reach Clients Effectively?”.
- I maintain long-standing and successful collaborations with international companies and organisations—above all, I am a practitioner.
My passion
My greatest passions are foreign languages and cultures, with a particular focus on Japan and Spain—I love contrasts. They have opened the door for me to better understand intercultural communication in social, ethical, and business contexts.
I’m also a huge enthusiast of CrossFit, football, and travelling to off-the-beaten-path destinations. My passion for sport not only allows me to meet inspiring people but also helps me maintain high energy levels in both my personal and professional life.
